What is improvisation? 什么是即兴戏剧？
I mprovisation is the art of unscripted performance. In improv, there is nothing to memorize.
即兴戏剧是一种无剧本的表演艺术，因为无剧本，也就没有“背台词”一说。
Improv is acting through reacting. Thus, it allows the actors to practice, experience and perform real-life situations in an infinite number of contexts.
演员在应对 “ 突发 ” 场景时即兴进行表演创作，这样的方式使得演员可以在即兴表演过程中预演无数五花八门的生活场景。
Improv actors create a world that has characters, storylines, conflict, tensions, a beginning, middle and end.
演员能够即兴地创造出一个新的世界，这个世界里充满着不同的角色，故事，矛盾，戏剧张力，共同编织出新世界的开篇、高潮和结局。
Because improv is so flexible, the actors can play with an endless variety of possibilities.
因为即兴表演不按套路出牌，演员可以玩味无穷无尽的可能性。
An improv performance may be funny or serious, long or short.
一场即兴演出可以很搞笑，也可以很严肃，或长篇，或短篇。
Improvisation is commonly used throughout the world to create movies, television shows, for brainstorming, corporate training and as a form of therapy.
这些有趣的特性使得即兴表演在全球范围内被广泛应用于电影、电视剧、电视节目的创作，是一种头脑风暴的方式；也被应用在企业培训、团队建设和心理治疗等领域。
What are the benefits of learning improvisation if you’re not an actor?
非职演员学习即兴表演的益处？
Improvisation teaches p eople to take risks, to be willing to make mistakes and still keep trying, not because there’s no fear, but by learning to walk through the fear in a fun, safe, enjoyable, non-threatening environment with a group of people who simply meet to play games together.
即兴表演让我们学会承担风险，勇于犯错并不断尝试。表演的过程中免不了“即兴”的压力和随之而来的害怕，但也正是即兴表演使我们能够以游戏的方式，在有趣、安全、没有威胁感的环境中去直面自己内心的害怕，与它共处。
Improv teaches us teamwork, creativity, trust and honesty with ourselves and others. Improv seriously increases our ability to communicate with other people and to actively listen to them. Improv increases our overall appreciation for life because it allows us to better understand how we humans act, react and experience an endless variety of life situations; to explore ourselves.
即兴表演教会我们团队合作、创造力、信任、对自己及对他人诚实；能够增强我们倾听他人，与他人沟通的能力。通过即兴表演，我们更好地认识人们在日常生活中行动、反应的模式，我们创造出无数的生活场景，并在自己的即兴应对中发现自己，了解自己。
在上海1933老场坊的即兴艺术周为大家邀请到了在即兴戏剧耕耘二十多年的David Warner和青年即兴戏剧家陈峰共同执教，针对演员及 戏剧爱好者，提供更深入完整的学习即兴戏剧的机会。
