2024 Xu Chengwei Shenzhen Workshop Maru Live Painting Works
In This Festival, Maru Will Bring Many Periphery Products Hand-Painted and Designed by Himself, the Following is a Preview of Some of Maru's Periphery Products:
Hand-Painted Knee Pads:
Maru has actually always wanted to make embroidered knee pads, which are very practical for dancing on harder floors. However, due to the constant inability to meet the required print quantity, he ended up hand-drawing some instead. The themes include door gods, dance scores, philosophers, and artists, among others.

CI Magic Headscarf:
The pattern and theme (Light · Symbiosis · Contact) were recorded through live painting during the early class led by A Xiao in Dali for contact improvisation. It is a pattern composition that is very Somatics (body-mind guidance/psychosomatics).

“Unplugged Doubt Cinema”:
The "Doubt Cinema" originates from "Doubt Spectrum Wonderscore," which was originally a secret "UnderScore" practice conducted by a group of dancers in New York in the "interim between being discovered and not being discovered." Later, Maru led the "Symbiotic Not Bad Dance Company" to practice "small dances" among the crowds on a certain pedestrian street, discovering that the everyday actions and interactions of passersby themselves were very "remarkable." Dance performances are everywhere in life!

Postcards:
Postcards of Maru's Early Performance Art Works (in Limited Quantities), Including Works Published in the Surrounding Jump at Y-Space in Hong Kong.

Maru's Drawn Talisman Card:
This is not "Zen Twisting"! Each piece is a unique, spontaneous hand-drawn totem painting that can be interpreted in any way, hence it may possess magical functions: warding off evil spirits, protecting the home, and ensuring safety! It can be paired with a hanging rope.
