史蒂夫·派克斯顿 (Steve Paxton) 的脊柱材料技术始于 20 多年前，集中了他在各种身体练习中所积累的知识 ——包括从对走路的研究到作为一位舞者的经验，从对接触即兴的探索到 合气道练习 。
Initiated more than 20 years ago, the technique Material For the Spine of Steve Paxton concentrates accumulated knowledge from his background from the walking study to dancer experience, from Contact Improvisation exploration to the Aikido practice.

Introduction to Material for the Spine
“脊柱材料可以看作是探索背部内部和外部肌肉的系统。它旨在将意识之光带到身体的阴暗面，也就是鲜为人知的一面，通常是舞者自我定义中被忽略的元素。 我想让人们意识到内在的感觉，在使用骨骼时揭示其运作的时刻，骨盆和指尖间的肌肉连接，以及一种温柔的杠杆作用——我认为来自于东方概念的“气”。
Material for the Spine can be seen as a system for exploring the interior and exterior muscles of the back. It aims to bring the light of consciousness to the dark side of the body, that is the side not much self-seen, often an omitted element in a dancer's self-definition.
I wanted to bring to consciousness the inner sensations, the moments when usage reveals operations of the skeleton, the muscular connections available between the pelvis and fingertips, and the soft energetic support of leverage which I take to be the eastern concept of qi or ki. “

Material for the Spine takes as given that the power of the dancer exists as sensations in the body. It attempts to point out naturally occurring events and develop exercises which bring them forward for examination.The sensation of ki can be felt and applied to the design within the exercises, which contain revealing coordination challenges.

Daniel Rojasanta 丹艺
拉丁美洲多学科艺术家, 演员和舞者。在中国巡演西班牙的剧团Teatre Animal和瑞典的舞蹈团Ingrid Olterman Dans的作品，以及小不点大视界制作。TOUCH接触即兴艺术节的老师。在意大利和比利时举行的ECITE欧洲接触即兴老师会议成员，并在印度、德国、格鲁吉亚、中国和泰国等世界各地的艺术活动中接触即兴的实践者。
Latin American multidisciplinary performer Artist. Actor and dancer touring in China with works by the Theater Troupe Teatre Animal from Spain and the Swedish Dance Company Ingrid Olterman Dans, with ASK productions. Member of the Europe Contact Improvisation Teachers Conference ECITE in Italy and Belgium, and Teacher at TOUCH the China Contact Improvisation Festival. Practitioner of Contact Improvisation in Art events around the world in India, Germany, Georgia, China and Thailand.

这是一个给 0-99 岁人群发现身体的美好的群聚之地。寸草舞集希望以舞蹈为媒介缩短人与人之间的距离，透过不同的身体创意开发与练习，发现身体的有趣之处。
作为上海接触即兴社群活动的主要组织方和上海即兴艺术节的联合主办方，2017年开始寸草舞集每年邀请全球各地不同领域的艺术家们至艺术节跨界交流、演出，和大家分享美好的即兴经验。
寸草致力于后现代剧场的创作与演出，并于日常定期开设现代舞、即兴创作与肢体开发、接触即兴等课程。
